Middleware connects software components and applications across the platform. It allows integration of new functionalities so updating the platform for new features depending on market requirements and innovation achievements.

Furthermore this area integrates basic infrastructure ready to implement services:

  • Web and application servers. Support basic applications.
  • Third-party enabler. Allows third party applications and interconnection with other platforms throughout the internet.
  • Orchestration. Executes business processes which describe high level functionality, coordination and management of services among areas.

The UC approach bases on JBoss:

JBoss AS released by Red Hat under a GPL licence, is built on one of the most advanced interconnection buses. This application server also supports basic applications and Third-party connections.

jBMP is for business process management (BPM) and service orchestration purposes. It is fully compatible with JBoss AS
